Story
Completing a marathon has always been on my bucket list but I've always found an excuse to put it off.
Now, I've decided to take the plunge. Instead of cheering runners on at the London Marathon from the armchair, I'm going to take part in the actual thing!
On Sunday 2 October 2022, I'll be running 26.2 miles/42km in support of SeeAbility. SeeAbility is a UK charity that empowers people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss to live ambitious lives achieving things they never thought possible. Whether its forming more friendships and relationships, enjoying new experiences, or finding employment, SeeAbility's vision is for inclusive communities where people with disabilities, can live, love, thrive and belong as equals in society.
I'll be honest, I'm terrified, but during training I have got up to 13miles so I know I can do it! Mind over matter! No going back now!
Please give as much or as little as you can - I know it will make a huge difference.
Some men go through a midlife crisis at the turn of a big birthday- well I’ve decided to do something even more wild! Look forward to keeping you all updated!
Thanks for your support,
