The Royal Marsden recently successfully treated Tom Porter, a 14 year old friend of my son who was struck by Leukaemia. They are also currently treating my old friend John Farmer for lung cancer. Continual advances are being made in fighting this frightening disease.

John has the following words to say about this amazing charity.

“On the 7th July last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer with a prognosis of six/nine months. A year later and after some 30 + visits to RM I am lucky that they have now advanced their knowledge and are now able to categorise the type of cancer cell I have and are therefore able to provide what I hope is a more targeted course of treatment. They are making progress, albeit slow, to understand this awful disease which affects both young and old alike.
