Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was asked by my school friend Marie Watson to take part in the Derby 10k run on April 17th  to raise money for CRY (cardiac risk in the young) sadly Marie's 17 year old son, George Watson passed away in January 2015 due to a heart defect that he and his family were unaware of, me along with a 40 strong team are aiming to raise £7000 which will allow screening of Upto 200 people aged between 14-35 and can spot any problems in advance. Iv never ran this distance non stop before but I'm determined to complete it even though I only have 17 days to train for it, if any one could donate to this page no matter how small an amount it will be greatly appreciated

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
