brodies challenge!

Brodies challenge is a 100km/65 mile dog walk spread across three days  along the ridge way setting off from West Overton in Wiltshire all the way to Chinnor in Oxfordshire stopping overnight at Uffington and Goring on Thames. The walk starts on the 28th of june !

The Plan

Friday - 22.3 miles

Saturday - 20.4 miles

Sunday - 21 miles

ROBS ARTTT was set up by a close friend of mine who sadly passed away on the 04/09/07 from Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT)

It most commonly occurs in young males of adolescent age and is characterized as a large intra-abdominal mass with no apparent origin first spreading to the peritoneal surfaces, then to the liver, lymph nodes and/or lungs.

Since this disease is normally not attached to an organ, it usually grows to a very large size and spreads to other parts of the body before the person experiences any ill effects of the disease.

The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, abdominal mass, and symptoms of gastrointestinal obstruction.

Rob was a close friend to me at school and was in every class of mine and the reason im raising money for his charity is to continue his dream to and help get enough money to get more research into this rare form of cancer.
