Story
I, Nathan Outhwaite and my brother Luke will be running the Great North Run on 11th September 2022 to raise money for Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in memory of our Uncle Kevin Outhwaite who sadly passed away 12 years ago from a long battle with skin cancer which he was diagnosed with just three weeks after his mam died of bowel cancer.
After having five operations to remove ten tumors from his body he became firm friends with the football legend Sir Bobby Robson. During his friendship with Sir Bobby he learnt about his Charity "The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation" and decided he wanted to give something back. In doing this he started to rasie money by organising charity events raising £13,644.
Since his death in 2010 family and friends have carried on Kevins chartitable efforts raising more than £100,000
The foundation funds projects within the Newcastle hospital NHS foundation trust that directly benefits cancer patients from across north east England and Cumbria - and also contributes significantly to international research into the disease.
So, no matter how small your donation, please give what you can to help us hit our target and let us all make a difference.
Thank you for choosing to support Newcastle Hospitals Charity.
