Story
Early last year my Dad was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia.
After 6 months in a hospital isolation ward, 3 bouts of chemotherapy and a successful stem cell transplant, I feel it’s my turn to do some fighting. So on November 2nd after 8 weeks of training, I’ll be entering a White Collar Boxing event with the aim of (winning and) raising some money for a charity which I’ve become quite familiar with over the past 18 months...Anthony Nolan.
My Dad was lucky enough to receive a successful stem cell donor match through the help of the incredible team at Anthony Nolan Trust and of course a stranger’s selfless generosity. Anthony Nolan do an amazing job of helping those affected by blood cancer, and so I hope my attempt of pretending to be a boxer for the night can help make a difference to more people.
I'll need all your generous support to achieve this, so any financial donation you can manage on this Just Giving page, or buying some tickets for the fight - which takes place at the historic York Hall in Bethnal Green, London would make a difference and be amazing.
Just drop me a message for tickets and they’ll be with you before you can say “lets get ready to rumble”. Also if you’re in the mood for saving someone’s life, join me by signing up as a potential stem cell donor – all it takes is a spit in a pot.
