Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This Challenge has already been going for 2 months now, it involves me not being allowed to cut my hair or have a shave until July 15th. I must also be down to a weight of 102kg or less, ready for my next hospital check up on July 19th.
For most people reading this they will know why I have chosen the British Heart Foundation. It is a cause which does amazing work every single day.
I have personal investment with the British Heart Foundation, as I was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot as a baby, and after a very quick turn around from the staff at Lincoln General Hospital discovering the issue, to my parents being introduced to a specialist consultant from Great Ormond Street Hospital. I had my first round of corrective open heart surgery.
I then went on to lead a normal life, growing up, with there being no outwards signs of my having any medical condition. People would only know of it when they were told by myself or a family member.
I underwent a second round of Open Heart Surgery, when I was 19, to have Pulmonary Valve Replacement. I am now treated under the Grown-Up Congenital Heart team in London.
