For those of you not on my Facebook I wanted to share with you the reason I am raising money. Firstly,  to clarify, I have cut my hair in order for it to be made into a wig for a child who has suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy.  

I have done this because I was diagnosed with cervical cancer on the 8th July. I have been extremely lucky, as it was caught early enough,  and I 'only' needed surgery to remove the tumour. I was given the all clear on the 8th September, after having both my cervix and pelvic lymphnodes removed. Now that my ordeal is over I want to make a little girls life just a tiny bit easier.  Cancer is a horrible illness and the fear is the worst. Children should not have to feel such fear! But with more and more money being spent on research this illness will no longer be a death threat!

Therefore I wanted to thank everyone who has helped cancer research UK being closer to a cure.
