We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

"Hi, my name is Nate Pakeman and I'm 8 years old. I live in Staffordshire with my Mum and Tom and my dog Cooper.

I want to raise money for Birmingham Childrens Hopsital because my friend Tobi has been there for a whole year and they have looked after him. I want to help them get some special ambulances for all the poorly children.

I am going to do one challenge every month in 2019, for each month Tobi has been poorly."

Nate has been feeling a little helpless that his friend is so ill and has decided he wants to raise money to support Birmingham Childrens Hospital who have cared for him for the last year.

Tobi was taken ill in January 2018 and has spent months having hundreds of invasive tests to try to find the cause of his Eosiniphills (white blood cells) being so high. In October Tobi took a turn for the worse, resulting in him going onto life support. He remains on the Intensive Care Unit in a highly critical condition.

*UPDATE* On the 19th January 2019, Tobi sadly passed away, held by his Mum and Dad, surrounded by the love of his Tribe.

It has quite literally been the most challenging year for his family, and to reflect this Nate wants to take on 12 Challenges, one each month of 2019.

Please help him reach his goal and donate to a wonderful hospital who help so many poorly children each and every year.
