Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I celebrate my 40th birthday this year so, as well as the usual celebrations, I'll also be marking the occasion by taking part in the Just Walk 40km on Saturday 11 May 2013 to raise funds for the Meniere's Society.
The Meniere's Society is the only UK charity solely dedicated to supporting people with vestibular (inner ear) disorders, e.g. Meniere's, labyrinthitis, BPPV, endolymphatic hydrops. These conditions cause severe vertigo. Symptoms are debilitating and unpredictable affecting the day-to-day life of those diagnosed. The Society provides a helpline and information for sufferers and their families as well as funding vital research into the causes and treatments of these conditions.
The Meniere's Society receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of members and supporters to fund its work. All sponsorship money raised from my walk will go directly to the Meniere's Society helping the charity support those affected and fund vital research needed to help manage, treat and find out more about these conditions.
