Story
The picture above was taken by me in June 2016. They are of my
friend’s daughter Lottie who has just turned 4 but she was 2 at the time.
I took the first one with her Mum on holiday in Cornwall. I took
the second one (scroll down) at St George’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit just ONE WEEK LATER!!
Results confirmed that Lottie had stage 4, high risk Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer and the family’s world fell apart. She had a 12 inch tumour in her tummy! Imagine a full size jacket potato with broccoli stalks attached and you can imagine the shock!
Lottie is currently having painful, invasive immunotherapy following on from a year of intensive chemotherapy and radiology treatment. The family have been trying to raise £200,000 to get Lottie onto a treatment trial in the US for which she is eligible. Lottie’s Mum Charley and Dad Dave have been frantically raising money in any way they can. They've raised £100,000 already over the last year but now need another £100,000 by OCTOBER! Lottie has an 85% chance of the Neuroblastoma returning so it’s really a fight against time!
I entered the Windsor Half Marathon to help raise some more money but I’ve just been advised to stop training due to Achilles Tendonitis which is so frustrating for me but my awesome friend Natasha has volunteered to step into my shoes and run in my place but she’s only got 4 weeks to train!!
Please, please, please donate to our cause so we can try to give Lottie the life every little girl deserves to live.
Despite all the treatment and trauma Lottie is one of the happiest girls in the world and I want to ensure she keeps smiling.
Thank you so much for
your donation!
