Story
From the moment, aged 10 years old, when I first heard about the terrible torture of Moon Bears in Asia - beautiful, peaceful bears - I was deeply shocked. Helpless, these gentle creatures are snatched from the wild and constrained for the rest of their lives in rusty cages, in which they can't even move. The immense cruelty they suffer is disgusting, with 10 inch metal catheters implanted into their abdomens, through which their bile is milked - a bile that can be synthesized for far less!
Now I am going to take my fund raising to the next level and climb Kilimanjaro this July with my father. We've paid for the climb completely by ourselves, therefore, every penny I raise via this page will go straight to Animals Asia, an absolutely amazing charity which fights tirelessly to rescue the thousands of abused Moon bears and other animals in Asia.
I know you’ll receive a lot of requests for sponsorship, but please take the time out of your day to donate to this wonderful charity. My trek will be extreme, tough and very demanding, yet your support will give me determination and together we can truly make a difference towards ending this horrific practice.
Thank you very much for reading this.
