Story
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for coming to my page. I am undertaking the foolish challenge of running the London Marathon and I'm not going to lie to you, it won't be pretty. If anyone fancies coming along, I will be the one that the St. John's Ambulance crew are tending too, probably not that far in.
The reason that I am dragging myself round all 26.2 painful miles is really to raise money for the fantastic work the people at Help the Hospices do.
Not long ago, my father-in-law Andrew, was able to make use of the facilities at one of the hospices, and it made a real difference. They couldn't make him better, but they could make him feel relaxed and comfortable, which when you are ill is a rare commodity. He left the hospice, raving about the latest Man Utd score, not how poorly he was feeling, truly a testament to their great work.
Andrew died in October, but he will never be forgotten, his larger than life personality will make sure of that.
So in memory of Andrew and for the great work of Help the Hospices, dig deep, it will surely spur me on in the darkest moments of the marathon.
Thanks,
Tasha xxx
