I am taking part in the Local Landmarks 2.6 challenge to raise money for Tommy’s baby charity, which conducts pioneering research into the causes of stillbirth, preterm birth and miscarriage to prevent baby loss and premature birth.

I am participating in this run for Tommy’s as a tribute to my brothers, Benjamin and Nicholas who were stillborn and in honour of my mum, who remembers them everyday and didn’t at the time get the support that she needed. 

As the challenge is the Local Landmarks 2.6 challenge, I will be running 2.6 miles in celebration of the 2060 babies who are born a day (on average) in the UK. But I will also be adding an additional 8 miles on in memory of the 8 stillborn babies who are born a day (on average) in the UK. That’s a total of 10.6 miles, which will be the longest run I have ever completed! I will be completing this challenge on Sunday 10th May 2020. 

I know there is a lot going on in the world right now with COVID-19 and because of that many charities aren’t getting the crucial funding that they so desperately need, it would therefore mean the world to me if you could please sponsor me and donate to Tommy’s!
