Diabetes UK

Hi to anyone reading this!!
Last year I lost my Dad due to complications caused by diabetes. He'd had diabetes for years but was told in April 2019 that these complications would end his life if he didn't have surgery. At 79, he decided that surgery would be too much for him and he just wanted to go home. A very brave choice.
My Mum, sisters and I cared for him in that time which only ended up being a month. I can honestly say it was a horrific experience and I never knew how debilitating a disease diabetes could be.
I'm just doing this little thing to raise anything I can to help people with Diabetes.
So, I'm going to shave my hair off for this cause.
Every 2 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with diabetes. We know that diabetes is a relentless and devastating condition.
Coronavirus is an emergency health crisis like no other and touches every part of our lives, and the lives of the communities we work with. There are 4.8 million people with Diabetes in the UK who are at high risk of serious complications resulting from Coronavirus.
Many are feeling vulnerable and scared right now. They urgently need our support. Many of us are isolated at home trying to find ways we can support the communities we belong to. That's where the Diabetes UK 2 Minute Challenge comes in.
Please show your support for my Diabetes UK 2 Minute Challenge by making a donation on my fundraising page, to allow Diabetes UK to keep answering the record numbers of calls, emails, web-chats and social media posts each and every day, helping people to access the help and information they desperately need in these worrying and uncertain times.
Thank you.
