In memory of Baby Pea Poulton
To create a new maternity bereavement suite at York Hospital and support those families who will sadly lose their baby before or shortly after birth. We know there is nothing that can take away their pain but we can help them on their journey.

Story

As some of you know, Steve and I lost our baby boy (Pea Poulton) on 24th November last year at just 19 weeks at our 20 week scan.

A charity called SANDS has supported us throughout our darkest days and continues to do so. Inside York hospital, where I gave birth, SANDS has a delivery suite separate to the normal labour ward. Knowing that I didn't have to be near others in labour or hear the screams of recently born babies made the whole nightmare a little easier to bear.

It is for this reason, in honour of our beautiful baby boy, my friend's baby, Harry, and all the little SANDS 'angels', I have chosen to do a marathon to raise money for York hospital and SANDS to build another bereavement suite for parents just like us! Luckily, it is a walking marathon, but it is still a 'bloody long way!'

Please, if you can support in any way it would be gratefully appreciated. Donate here or text 'PPEA50 £'(then a number) to 70070. My little boy is watching down on me and I want to make him proud.

Thank you xxx
