On 15th May 2011 I will be taking part in the Etape Caledonia  - the UK's only closed road bike race. We're raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

 

The Etape starts and finishes in Pitlochry, Perthshire.  The route is 81 miles (130 km) and the total ascent is 6400 ft (1949 m).  The roads re-open on a rolling basis and a time of 6:15 is required to beat the sweep vehicle.  My aim is to complete the circuit.
