Emily was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2021 at the age of 20. She underwent 4 intense rounds of chemo, had numerous bone biopsies..recovered from pneumonia and sepsis twice.
She was given the all clear and rang the bell in July 2022.
In August, Emily was told the devastating news that her Acute Myeloid Leukaemia had returned.
This time more severe and the only option was for her to have a bone marrow transplant.
Unfortunately her sister wasn't a match so we needed the help of Anthony Nolan to find us a donor.

We worked endlessly with them and got so many to sign up.

Our prayers were answered.

A match was found and Emily had her transplant in December 2022.

There's a long way to go yet but without the help of Anthony Nolan this wouldn't have happened.
