Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Firstly, a bit about me. My name is Tash, I am 18 and currently studying World Development and Geography A-Levels at college. I have always been interested in overseas charity projects and this interest was magnified when I volunteered on a charity project trip to Uganda whilst I was at secondary school. This trip had such an impact on me, that I raised the money to enable me to go again the following year. I am now fortunate enough to have been chosen by ICS Y Care international to volunteer in Bangladesh for 10 weeks this summer. 

On the 29th June I will be leaving the UK to go to Bangladesh for 10 weeks on a development programme. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. Whilst in Bangladesh, I will be living with a host family within the community of Birishiri and, alongside in-country volunteers, I will be working on projects that aim to support local people. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

My personal fundraising target is £800 but of course, if I could raise even more, this would be fantastic!  Y Care International are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS and this money will allow them to continue to bring out their positive change in the developing communities where they work. 

ALL money kindly donated will go directly to Y Care international to fund the projects on which we will be working on and to enable these projects to continue in the future. The money will NOT be used to fund my fare, accommodation, visa's, food etc.  

I plan to raise these funds by doing Cake Stalls, Car boot sales and a Parachute jump. If you would like to sponsor me for this jump, I would be most grateful if you would click the button below. Pictures of the jump (and me looking terrified!)  will be uploaded when complete.
