Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Tash, Matt and Liz are privileged (and extremely nervous) to have places for the 2018 London Marathon in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. We will be running the 26.2miles in memory of our remarkable brother and son Tom, who died in January 2017.
Teenage Cancer Trust is an incredible charity providing essential support to young people affected by cancer. Tom received much of his treatment at the specialist Teenage and Young adult (TYA) centre in Bristol, when his childhood cancer relapsed in 2015. The TYA unit opened in 2014, thanks to money from Teenage Cancer Trust, providing a place of safety and comfort for cancer patients and their families. The privacy of individual rooms and age appropriate facilities made a big difference to Tom’s stay. His girlfriend, later to become his wife, was able stay with him each time he was admitted and as a family we could spend valuable time together even during his treatment.
Running 26.2 miles is going to be an enormous challenge for the three of us… so we’ve got some serious training to do!!
Any donations and words of advice to help us along would be greatly appreciated. :)
