Story
In March 2019 Barney, Ollie and I completed the annual 10 mile run at Rugby School, The Crick, and Tobias and Sam ran the 6 mile Barby run (for younger pupils) on the same day. We were thrilled to raise £1000 for our local food bank as a family. See photo!
It was Oliver's final school year and we said that we would all run The Crick in Sammy's final school year and raise another £1000. That was before Covid and before the need for Food Banks escalated in such an alarming way.
Barney and I had never run 10 miles before 2019 and we haven't done since, so it has indeed been a challenge!
Barney, Sam and I are all running The Crick 10 mile run, Oliver is running the 26 mile Rome marathon on the same day for Movember (but has kindly said that he will donate10 miles from that!) and Tobias will run 10 miles somehow somewhere in Laos!
We would love to hit our target of £1000 again. The Shifnal Food Bank is run out of our local church, St Andrew's in Shifnal, where Barney and I were married and the boys were all christened. It is an incredible church community that runs a wide variety of activities for all ages and denominations to support and bring together the local community.
