In November 2016, after a very brave and inspirational  fight, my lovely husband lost his fight to bowel cancer.  I have wanted for a while to do something to remember him whilst raising money to help try and stop this horrendous disease. Two of my lifelong friends, Suzie and Catherine also wished to do this with me to show their support for me and to honour Ben who was also their friend. We wanted to do something that was a challenge for us and came up with the idea of running which none of us could do. This was a tough challenge for us and with the help of a couch to 5k app we hope to be able to run the Knowle 5k Fun Run on 20 May! Ben's son Tom will also run it with us in memory of his dad and Suzie's son Luke will too. We have all been training since January at least two times a week, running in the snow and rain, so please sponsor us!! Ben would never had believed me if I had told him we would run 5k and I hope we do him proud and raise money for Cancer Research! Tash x
