Thanks for taking the time to visit Nat and James' Running for Money Page!

When James and I got engaged in 2012, we felt like the luckiest people in the world! To be as happy and as healthy as we were, we felt it was time to start giving something back to the world and raise money for causes close to our hearts. Having never attempted much more than a leisurely jaunt around Roundhay Park and a pathetic attempt to cycle a few miles along the canal, James and I had the ludicrous idea to run the marathon and the misguided confidence to think we easily could!
We're in for it now and there's no turning back so please please if not for the INCREDIBLY WORTHWHILE charity then for the pure spectacle of seeing us conquer this challenge!
There is some speculation as to whether we shall succeed and without naming names - We'll be expecting glasses along with that champagne on the finish line Miss P!!!
Taking it a little more seriously. We feel so lucky to be in the position we are in to have all our loved ones around us when others we know have not been not so fortunate. Diabetes has played a big part in shaping both our lives by impacting the people around us and we wanted to give our thanks to the people and organisations that have brought us to where we are today. We want to do this for all the people who are affected by diabetes and need your help to make that happen.
Any help that you can give will be so greatly appreciated and can make a big difference to a lot of people. There are currently 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an esstimated 850,000 people who have Type 2 diabetes but don't even know it yet. That's almost 1 in 100 people.
Please if you have some spare time, visit Diabetes UK for information on the great work that this charity does and the reasons we need people just like them. www.diabetes.org.uk/
Love from some sweaty messy and sore marathoners in training...and their dog who gets dragged along too!
