I get bored of my hair a lot, so this time when I decided it was time to cut it all off again I thought I would donate it to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig for a child who has lost their hair to cancer or other condition. However, this process costs on average £550 per wig, and this amazing charity makes over 100 each month. So I decided to run a half marathon to raise money to at least cover the cost of making a wig from my donated hair. If you haven't heard of the Little Princess Trust this is a little bit about them:
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
Currently due to covid restrictions the race may be postponed/ done virtually etc. but either way I will run a half marathon on Sunday the 14th of February - I'll start planning a route near my house just in case! Likewise, I can't currently get my hair cut, but I will once it is safe to do so.
Thank you so much for supporting me and the Little Princess Trust!
Natalie :)
