Story
Next month I will be running the Liverpool Marathon. I decided to finally go for it to raise money for Beat, an eating disorder awareness charity that has become extremely close to my heart over the past 10 months.
Last summer, my youngest sister Bonnie was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, an eating disorder that took over her life and led to her being admitted to a specialist eating disorder clinic which is giving her the help she needs and deserves to fight the ED. Eating disorders are often overlooked as mental illnesses, and are poorly understood by many. Living with one can feel very frustrating, lonely and frightening for those affected and their families. My sister is lucky enough to have fantastic support from the Sheffield Eating Disorder Service, but many aren’t. B-eat is a UK-wide charity that supports people affected by eating disorders, and their families, and campaigns on their behalf. Like them, I want to raise awareness of eating disorders, banish the preconceptions people have, and hopefully help give those affected their lives back.
PLEASE give what you can, I cannot stress enough how close to my heart this cause is. Any donation will be much appreciated.
Please help me to kick Anorexia’s ass.
Thank you!
