Story
This September I'll be doing a 70.3 mile triathalon. That's a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and then a 13.1 mile run in aid of Alzheimers Research UK. This will be my first ever triathalon.
If you can spare the time and money please help me reach my target of £2000. The pain I'll be putting myself through is nothing compared to those who experience first hand the effects of Dementia.
I have so many motivations for this event, before my father passed away last year, his last present to me was a road bike as we had spoke about me trying an ironman or half distance triathlon. Shortly after I started training I became pregnant, we were overjoyed! Unfortunately Dad didn't get to meet our little man. He passed away whilst I was 7 months pregnant. After the birth I felt able to let out grief, and unexpectedly one of my vocal chords paralysed leaving my airway restricted. I couldnt drink water without choking and even talking left me out of breath. As a new mum and always being an active person this left me in a pretty uncomfortable place. Fast forward 9 months, with lots of therapy things started to get better. So here we are applying for the Outlaw 70.3 mile triathalon. For my Dad, for my little man, and to raise money for an amazing charity. Please donate if you can spare any money, every little bit helps... and thank you for reading this far ❤🙏
