Gaga ❤️

This year, in October I will be running Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of my grandad Graham Howell;  to me he was Gaga!!

Sadly in February this year, my ‘Gaga’ passed away during a short stay in hospital due to sepsis! I will be running Cardiff half marathon in aid of UK Sepsis Trust to raise awareness, and hopefully with recognition of signs and symptoms, preventing many further deaths and suffering in the future! 

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast cancer, bowel cancer and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is the acute bodily reaction to infection.
 
Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
