Story

I'm running in the 2022 TCS London Marathon as part of Epilepsy Society's Team Purple!

There are around 1 in 100 people in the UK and it just so happens that one of these people is my beautiful nephew, Mason.

There are many different types of Epilepsy and whilst the severity and impact can vary quite considerably, they generally all tend to have seizures that start in the brain. The Epilepsy Society is committed to continuing their research to better understand this neurological condition so that eventually, people with Epilepsy can live the lives they want to lead, where the 'Epilepsy part' is irrelevant.

Mason has already been so brave with his own Epilepsy journey, and like any of us would, I would do anything to take it away from him. But since I can't, what I can do is RUN! Run, run, run & run some more - 26.2 miles to be precise (plus a hideous amount of training!), on Sunday 2nd October 2022 in the London Marathon.

Every penny I raise will go towards the wonderful work of the Epilepsy Society so that they can continue to help not only someone who means the world to me but those who are also the most important people in the world to so many others.

Thank you in advance for your support!
