On Sunday 3rd May 2015, (yes, less than a month away) I will be taking on the challenge of Tough Mudder on behalf of the Cardiomyopathy UK, with Kay Brockwell, Patty Hogan and Mr. Twilkes. As some of you will know, my cousin Michael, was my age when he was diagnosed with this heart condition. Cardiomyopathy, although treatable, is an incurable disease of the heart muscle that can affect at any age. Cardiomyopathy affects 1 in 500 of the population, and is the most common medical cause of sudden death in under 35 year olds. Early diagnosis and correct treatment can prevent deaths, and thankfully, both of my aunties have benefited from this.
