Story
Me and Sarah are walking the midnight walk for St Helena Hospice on the 5th June 2010,which will take us 3 hours to walk all for a great great charity around colchester. Please read below about the charity and why we are taking part and why you should donate to the charity.
St Helena Hospice is for anyone who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and all services are free of charge to patients and their families. The Hospice is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offers a diverse range of services which are delivered by highly qualified teams of specialists. These teams include nurses, social workers, counsellors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, complimentary therapists, art and music therapists, bereavement visitors, doctors and specialist palliative care nurses. The aim is to provide specialist care and support for patients in a relaxed and friendly setting. Families, children, friends and pets are warmly welcomed.
It costs over £5.1 million a year to provide Hospice services and over £3 million of this has to be achieved by fundraising in the local community through events, the Hospice Lottery, donations, Hospice shops, legacies and corporate support.
Please dig deep and donate to this amazing charity!
