Age UK Barnet provides high quality services to support vulnerable older people in the borough. These include befriending, home visits, computer classes, financial help, a handyperson service, exercise classes, lunch clubs and other social opportunities as well as a Later Life Planning service.

Story

On Saturday 22nd August I will be taking part in a sponsored walk in memory of a wonderful lady called Joan.

I was matched with Joan through a befriending service with AgeUK Barnet and LOVED visiting her each week for a cup of tea and chat. Joan passed away last August at the grand age of 94 so I am raising money for AgeUK Barnet in Joan’s memory.

I have decided to walk the whole of the Northern Line starting at the top in High Barnet and finishing at the bottom in Morden. This is roughly 23 miles and a total of 32 tube stations that I will be passing on my way!

Please donate to raise money for this fantastic charity that work hard every day and even more so throughout the pandemic to support isolated and lonely elderly people.
