Story

I have set myself the big challenge of completing the Great North Run in two and a half hours. It won't be easy but I'm working really hard to tackle a half marathon and raise lots of money for charity. If I meet Ant n Dec in the process, well it's only a bonus.

But I'm running for a cause that is close to my heart. I want to fundraise for research into Crohn's disease that may one day help a close cousin of mine.

Crohn's is an inflammatory disease of the intestine in which the body's immune system attacks itself. Some sufferers need surgery throughout their lives in order to manage the painful, life-restricting symptoms.

There is currently no cure. Charities like C&C not only help those with the disease but fund research into finding one. That's why I'm supporting them, and I hope you will too.

Donating through JustGiving is safe and your money will be sent directly to the charity. They also make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please help me and donate to a great cause.

In the meantime, I'll don my trainers.

Thank you.
