Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
Watton is a small town in Norfolk and we have lost some amazing characters in the last year due to suicide. Myself and a good 50 others have decided to do a Skydive in memory of the friends that we have lost. We want to raise as much money as we can so CALM can spend the money on helping other men in need.
CALM- Campaign Against Living Miserably - Was set up in 2006 and is a charity targeting suicide among young men. Currently the single biggest killer of 15-34 year old men nationally. CALM promotes and delivers a free, confidential, anonymous helpline and website targeted at young men. CALM also publishes the 'CALMzine', a bi-monthly magazine distributed across Topman stores and select venues across inner London. CALM also have a lively website full of articles to fire people up, make them think, and stories about the exploits of CALM and there supporters.
A CALMzone is an area where they work with the local authorities to promote CALM within their area under a Service Agreement. Local CALMzone Coordinators work with local clubs, community, music and entertainment industries to promote the campaign to young men and provide them with local as well as national information.
