Story
On November 21st I will be running my second 10k run at Old Deer Park in Richmond. This time I am raising money specifically for The British Heart Foundation, in memory of a very dear friend of mine, Louis Whurr, who died suddenly in the June of 2007 from coronary heart disease. He was just 27.
Louis was an extraodinary talent! We met at Art college age 16. Louis was a natural - his drawings and graphics were amazing! He was destined for big things.
Everyone loved Louis, no exaggeration. My favourite memories of Louis are from sitting with him and the gang in the canteen at college. The first thing he would do - get his pint and cigarette at the ready, then stick some money in the juke box and the crickets at the start of Wham - Club Tropicana would come on. If you heard that track, you knew Louis was in the building : )
He was always smiling. I loved that boy! Miss him so much. This ones for you Lou - going for my PB xx
