Story
The young people Hope for the Young supports have fled war, persecution and bereavement. They have travelled thousands of miles from their homes to reach safety in the UK, often on their own. Many have experienced traumatic events that make it hard to cope with day-to-day life.Hope for the Young supports these young people to access education when they arrive in the UK by providing financial support, advocacy and one-to-one mentoring.Based on an average distance of the young people's journeys including; Eritrea (4,999 miles), Afghanistan (4,676 miles), Iran (3,410 miles), Syria (2,829 miles), Vietnam (5,734 miles) and many others, we are joining Hope for the Young's Team Challenge event to try and reach a combined distance of 4000 miles throughout the month of October.Your donation will go directly towards helping young refugees access education and rebuild their lives.
This is a fantastic charity run by my friend Matt Blacker who is passionate about helping to improve the lives of young immigrants in the UK. I am proud to support the young refugees and this amazing cause.
My team and I are Walking, Running and Crawling 300 Miles in the month of October to raise funds for Hope for the Young.
We would be extremely grateful if you could spare any money for donation, big or small.
Thank you so much for your support!
