Story
Over the last few years while travelling in Africa I have witnessed at first hand the plight of ordinary people suffering due to poor healthcare. Ivory Coast is a fast developing economy in West Africa, but provision of healthcare in the provinces is sparse and even in the capital Abidjan, there is insufficient quality or clinical capacity and services are priced out of reach for much of the population. There is a need for greater access to good quality healthcare provisions for more sections of the community.
I have been involved in the Ivory Coast Hospital project as a volunteer team member since 2019. The project build started in November 2020 and building work has reached roof level, the external finishing will be complete by year end. We need support for the kitting out phase.
This hospital will gradually offer a range of services in a phased manner, but early priorities include: Maternity Orthopaedics Paediatric services Diagnostics Surgical theatre Pharmacy Laboratory tests Ultrasound Digestive endoscopy ECGs. Ophthalmology.
Please do support this appeal to bring this hospital to reality and join me to improve and save lives.
