Story
Hi we are Courtney, a 22 year old student at University of Ulster currently in final year and volunteer with NAS Larne and Carrickfergus Branch, and Holly, 22 yr old nail technician and working pt for Spar.
As it’s Autism Awareness Month we have decided that we would like to raise some money to support NAS Larne & Carrickfergus Branch, a local charity who does so much for supporting people with autism in our local community! They rely on these donations and fundraisers to provide things such as the new hub they are using to host a youth club and other activities!
As there is not much else we can do to raise this, we have decided that on the 28th of April we are going to walk a marathon (26 miles, yikes). We would be super grateful for any donations no matter how much it is to hit our target of £150 as this is a cause super close to both our hearts!
I volunteer for NAS and really would love to go into working with the Autism community when I have finished my masters degree! Holly was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when she was 19 and wants to raise awareness and support other people who may be struggling with their diagnosis!
NAS Larne and Carrickfergus branch was set up in Summer 2019 by local parents of ASD kids and is run totally by volunteers who are responsible for raising all branch funds. All money raised will be used to provide support services for local families.
We would really appreciate any and all donations big or small as every little helps!
Thank you so much for your support 🥰
Courtney & Holly
