As a new medical student, I'm increasing aware of the countless people that live a constant battle against ill health. I can rather take my young, healthy body for granted; but there are whose for whom treatments and precautions and hospitals and insecurities...are an everyday reality. While health care seeks to give people the best possible quality of life, there are always consequences to treatment, one of which being hair loss during cancer treatment.

The Little Princess Trust are an excellent charity, providing real-hair wigs to children that have sadly lost their hair through cancer treatment. And with hair being such a noticeable characteristic, the provision of a wig can make such a different to the confidence and happiness of a child.

Therefore I've decided to cut my hair short, donating it to be made into a wig, but to also use my hair-chop to raise awareness and funds for this worthwhile charity!

I know money can be tight, and I totally understand if you're unable to give (maybe share my page on your facebook wall instead?), but if you can give, it would be really great :D
