Story
It all started with Naomi's wish to be part of a big journey...
She first signed up for a supported world cycle trip but unfortunately, it got cancelled! However, her mission had just begun and decided not to stop there...
She will carry on with her challenge: cycle around the world, or 20,000 kilometres of it, going through countries like the USA, Japan or South Africa.
Along the way, she will be supporting the Homeless World Cup Foundation!
Having worked in the not-for-profit sector for most of her working career, she has come across many individuals and organisations aiming to make a real difference to the lives of others. She decided to use her challenge to support one of these organisations and chose the Homeless World Cup Foundation.
The Homeless World Cup Foundation uses football to energize homeless people. It works closely and supports a network of 74 partners all around the world whose work is united through their goal to improve the lives of the people they work with, using football as the catalyst.
From July and for nearly a year, she will cycle from country to country, meeting some of the partners along the way. She will be able to see for herself the impact of the Homeless World Cup Foundation!
Today, you can help Naomi in her challenge and her wish to do something amazing! You can sponsor her by donating £5 per kilometre. How far do you want to go with her: 1, 10 or 100 km?
Here are a few words from Naomi:
"It will be great encouragement to me as I constantly get back on the saddle and with a target of raising £5 per kilometre we do of course hope it will make a significant difference to many people."
