We protect endangered Asian elephants to prevent them from becoming extinct

Story

Since October 2010 I’ve run 5 half marathons & two full marathons (the London Marathon & 3 weeks later the Halstead Marathon), to raise money to help save the Asian Elephant from extinction in the wild which could happen within just 30 years! It's not too late to sponsor me - I’ve raced over 110 miles and really want it to make a difference.

After spending time with the elephants in India, I'm really passionate about helping Elephant Family, who are an amazing charity that exists to work with local communities and governments to try and save the elephants - since their launch in 2002 they've invested more than £3 million in securing and restoring vital corridors of land, supported local communities to reduce incidents of human-elephant conflict and improving the welfare of captive elephants.

But they do need more help (and money) to ensure they can keep making a real difference. Between October 2010 and May 2011 I’m going to be running 5 half marathons, and 2 full marathons, which is over a hundred miles…never mind the many miles and early mornings for training.

I’d hugely appreciate any sponsorship you can offer me for this enormous task, as will the elephants!

Thanks so much, Naomi
