Hello! Thank you for taking the time to have a look at what I'm doing to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my friend Gill who sadly passed away late last year after a long battle with cancer.
I hope to raise £750 over the next 10 weeks in her memory and to help support the continued work of Macmillan for others who are affected by cancer.
To raise money I will be swimming 22 miles, that’s 2083 lengths in my local swimming pool or the equivalent of the English Channel, a challenging feat as I am not a natural swimmer! :/ I will be taking on the challenge between April 20th with the aim to complete the distance by 29th June, if not sooner (just to give you an idea that’s approximately 209 lengths per week)
I will be updating this page regularly and I hope to keep everyone in touch with how the efforts are coming along. So please donate if you are able and leave your comments, I'm sure that I will really appreciate the support and motivation once I begin to undertake this challenge!
