WHY I'M RAISING FUNDS FOR THE RED CROSS:
Watching as the events continue to unfold in Ukraine, I can only imagine the depth of suffering for those caught up in it. I am deeply moved to do something practical to help but also to raise consciousness about the value of peace.
With your help, I hope to make a difference for people in crisis by bringing people together in the name of peace to raise funds for urgently needed humanitarian relief.
6 months into the war, an enormous number of people still urgently need our help. People in Ukraine and bordering countries are facing increased health risks with the onset of winter. Many continue to remain cut off from regular clean water access, leaving them at risk of infectious diseases. Even if the conflict were to end tomorrow, it would be years before
people recover. This will continue to be a pressing humanitarian crisis, for many years to come.
INVITATION:
I'd like to invite you to support the Red Cross
HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP:
The British Red Cross help people in crisis. As the security situation allows, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will continue to respond to existing and emerging humanitarian needs. The Red Cross has supported people affected by this conflict for years and will not stop now.
This response includes: Supporting families with food, first aid and medicines. Supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities. Repairing vital infrastructure. Helping to repair homes, healthcare centres, schools and community centres.
