Story
NCW is a national residential school and college for young people aged 11 to 19 who are blind or vision impaired.
Every student at NCW has a tailored programme, carefully planned and delivered to meet their individual needs in three key areas: academic achievement, independent living skills and involvement in extracurricular activities at the College and in the community. The opportunities provided to students in these three areas of provision play a crucial role in the development of confidence and self-esteem and preparation for life beyond our College.
The costs associated with general maintenance, unexpected repairs, the school refurbishment programme, school vehicles and most trips and activities are paid for by the school, supported as much as possible by our Fundraising department.
So the school needs YOU to donate to make sure NCW can always offer a great experience for its blind or vision impaired students.
I'm Naomi, I live up in Scotland but my link to NCW is my mum, who's a governer at the school. I love running, so fundraising for this amazing school by challenging myself with a marathon is perfect.
Scroll down for updates from my runs! I'll be sharing stuff like how my training's going as I amp it up, recommendations for podcasts I'm listening to and photos of the beautiful landscapes I'm running through. I want to share my runs with you to get YOU to donate!
