Brighton Marathon 2022 · 10 April 2022 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hello,

I’ve decided (quite impulsively and possibly regrettably) to run the Brighton Marathon 2022, in memory of my nan and to raise money for The MS Society UK!

Multiple sclerosis is a disease which affects the central nervous system, resulting in muscle weakness, balance problems, vision problems, speech difficulties, tremors and chronic pain and at present this disease has no cure.

My brave nan was diagnosed with a progressive version of this disease at aged 38, which left her wheelchair bound and in constant pain. I was lucky enough to have her around for 10 years of my life, until she passed away aged 54.

In the last 2 years, I’ve suffered a broken leg and have had 2 operations, so I’m aware of the physical challenge that lies ahead but am looking forward to pushing myself to raise money for such a worthy cause.

Please donate whatever you can and thanks for reading!
