Story
After my 2 week expedition in Cornwall working alongside 6 amazing charities, who do the most incredible work learning lots about the world and about myself, me and the other 14 CVQO Westminster award finalists are raising money for the worthwhile causes. Having seen first hand the incredible dedication and hard work by the teams that run these charities, it is the least we can do.
We have all set ourselves individual challenges and mine is to walk/jog (maybe more walking) 50km in 5 days.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You!
If you are interested below is some information about each of the charities we worked with.
- Wave Project - We harness the power of the ocean to improve the mental health of children and young people.
- Shelterbox - providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster.
- Surfers against sewage - The ocean is in danger, and we don't have much time to save it. We create Ocean Activists everywhere, educating communities and carrying out beach cleans.
- Eden Project - Our global mission is to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world to demonstrate the power of working together for the benefit of all living things.
- Cornwall Wildlife Trust - We protect Cornwall's wildlife and wild places on land and in our seas.
- National Trust - We look after the places you love, from houses, buildings and gardens to coast and countryside.
