Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·
Hi,
I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 13 October in London on behalf of Ovarian Cancer Action.
Help me raise £3,000 by donating!
There’s no screening tool and the survival rate is 35%. I’m embarking on 3 months of misery, all running and no boozing, to support funding the world’s first screening tool.
Like Pancreatic Cancer, Ovarian Cancer is often discovered too late when it cannot be cured or major surgery is required (usually removing the ovaries, fallopian tube and womb).
Get educated on the 4 symptoms (either for yourself or your female loved one) – every 2 hours 1 woman dies from Ovarian Cancer:
1. Bloating
2. Lack of appetite
3. Needing to pee more
4. Pelvic discomfort

A note from Ovarian Cancer Action:
Thank you so much from everyone Ovarian Cancer Action. The UK sadly has amongst the worst survival rates in Western Europe. Ovarian Cancer Action is determined to change this by funding world-class research at the UK's only dedicated research centre and raising awareness of the disease and its symptoms to prompt the earliest possible diagnosis thus giving the best chance for survival. Without your support our work would not be possible. Thank you for your generosity.
