Nant Technical Director Richard Deakin together with his wife Sharon Deakin will take to the skies on September 10th to complete a 10,000ft tandem skydive for Dementia UK.
The husband and wife team will take off from Whitchurch airfield where they will freefall from a height of around 10,000ft and speeds of up to 125mph.
Nant Technical Director Richard Deakin commented:
“We have supported Dementia UK for a number of years now. It’s an illness that has not only affected colleagues and family personally, but through our work in care homes across the country too.
“Jumping from a plane will definitely be my biggest ‘face your fear’ so far and not something you can really train for in advance. Please show your support and dig deep!”
Sharon Deakin commented:
“My father Tony Pardoe passed away, having suffered from vascular dementia for several years, this charity is close to our heart. We want to raise awareness and lots of sponsorship! Let’s help Dementia UK improve the quality of life for people with dementia, and their carers!”
