Story
Last year, on May 5th, I lost my nanny to motor neurone disease, just a couple of months after she was first diagnosed with this life limiting illness. She was just 66 years old and her sudden loss was (and still is) enormous for myself and my family. Nan was the matriarch of our family, the one who held us all together, but most importantly the best nanny I could have. I never thought she would be taken so soon. She is deeply missed every single day but we continue to remember her by the many memories we have together.
On Sunday 7th May, our team, Susan's Walkers, will be walking 5 miles round Box Hill in Surrey to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association to support the amazing work they do in attempts to find a cure and to support those living with the disease. MND is a cruel disease that is, sadly, life limiting. There is no cure and very little treatment for those diagnosed. I can tell you, it is an awful way to watch someone you love so much leave the world. We appreciate any donation you can make to this charity and to support them.
