Another new friend Sandra Ong sponsored and donated. Thank you for donating without knowing me and the girls you are helping. Thank Seng, living in Singapore too for the generous donation.

The nail of my left large toe is going to drop off and my skin is peeling off around my shoulder and arms. It's well worth it as good friend Kumari, from Singapore pledges to donate some money. Indeed, I am feeling lucky and each pledge and donation makes me happy. So, can you all imagine how happy and lucky the girls you are helping. Keep helping and go on asking your friend to donate.

nancy and going to sleep soon to end a good Friday.

Dear Sponsors, RUNNER'S NO. 5037

5037 has completed the run and took 71 minutes with 2 stops. I finished the first 2 kms in good 10 minutes, telling myself that I should be able to finish within an hour because I felt no sign of exhaustion. Stopped after 2 kilometres to remove my long sleeved T-shirt as it was getting so hot. Stopped after 5km to adjust my left sock because my large toe-nail  was pressing onto the shoe and was causing discomfort.  I think my new pair of double layer sports socks were thicker and therefore, reduced the room space for my toe's movement.  I had to arch my left large toe when I ran the remaining 5 kilometres. So, the only injury is the blue-black toe and I am hoping the nail will stay in situ. Otherwise, I am fit and happy that I finished the run.

It was cold when we all waited for the run to start at 9.35 am for the elite runners, (9.40 for me) After a kilometre, the sun was blazing hot down upon us. It was uncertain weather-being cold, cool, hot -changing a couple of times for the 10kilometres. Oh yes, we had to slow down and make way for 3 ambulances.

I thank my husband James/Jim for once again being ever so supportive -from the start to the end. Also, my sponsors for being so generous and without your support I would not have run so well and finished.

Lastly, I would like to thank the surprised cheers from Ravi and his friends at Piccadilly and I apologise for not stopping to give him a large hug. A god-son worth to keep. Then, the cheers from my husband, Vicky of CAMFED and those strangers along the race route. GREAT DAY AND THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO RUN FOR ALL OF YOU AND ALSO, TO RAISE FUNDS TO BUY SCHOOL SHOES FOR THOSE WHO NEED THEM SO DESPERATELY TO WALK TO SCHOOLS. EDUCATION IS THE KEY FORWARD FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO IMPROVE THEIR LIFESTYLE. MAY ALL BE BLESSED WITH GOOD WISHES.

Nancy, who owes you Sponsors and my husband lots and lots and lots!!!

I ran between 6.30 to 8 a.m. this morning, 10th July 2009. I was indeed happy with my speed. Along the river bank to Hampton Court, it was refreshing when the cold breeze blew across my face. The countless swans, geese and their little ones looked so relaxed. On my right, I saw so many bunny rabbits and the little ones seemed braver as they sat alerted. The shadows of dragonflies zoomed across infront of me.  I ran 3 rounds in the Rose Garden of Hampton Court Palace and it was extremely quiet without any visitor or staff. The sun shone hot on my face on my return journey via the quiet Bushy Park. There was no breeze to cool my neck in the still air.  I only met a lady walking with 3 running dogs before I ran out of the gate for Kingston Bridge. The short quarter mile from Kingston Bridge and along the river bank in Canbury Park, the cold air freshened my face and neck, like a rotating fan.

I hope I can run as well as this morning on 12th July 2009. Thank you so much for the generouos gifts to me and those who needed a pair of school shoes.

Nancy.

Dear Sponsor

It was cold but fresh when I ran this evening at about 8p.m.. along the Thames River. When I returned, the dinner was prepared by the best cook of our household. All I had to do was to have a good bath and then, sat down for my large plate of delicious pasta.

This Sunday, I shall be running with the pair of sport shoes donated to me by my Sister Eliza for my 2008 run for CAMFED. I would not disappoint you all. So, please tell your friends and relation to sponsor me.

with great thanks, nancy 8th July 2009.

Dear Friends and Family,

This year I have decided late and only 18 days left for my training. However, I am sure I am fit and all ready to run for CAMFED and for you all, my sponsors.
