Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and big thank you to everyone who's sponsored me so far.
Although I have now completed the Challenge, it's not too late to sponsor me.........
UPDATE:
I've just returned from something which I can only describe as both gruelling and a amazing. Last week I became a pillion rider for the India Motorcycle Challenge...over 1300km through the India and the Himalayas on a Royal Enfield Bullet. Nothing could have prepared me for the roads (huge pot holes, landslides and the other "traffic"), the driving conditions (everything from freezing in the himalayas to sweltering under the heat of protective clothing) and sheer craziness of doing what we did. I'm glad I didn't know beforehand because it would have probably put me off. I'm grateful to say that, thanks to an excellent rider, I've emerged unscathed (unlike some of the rest of the team).
A selection of my photographs are now available online. The link is: http://picasaweb.google.com/nancyindiachallenge2008
For those who don't know, the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy is a charity that combines two goals which are very important to me. Firstly it pays for clinics which provide children with a place to receive free osteopathic treatment and management. Without the work of these clinics, there are many children and families who would be without the quality of life they gain through osteopathy (particularly those children with special needs and serious illnesses who often have a greater financial barrier to gaining ongoing osteopathic treatment). Secondly the Foundation works hard to share the skills required to treat children with other osteopaths so that more children can benefit from osteopathic care.
Please dig deep and sponsor me online. I will be paying for the challenge myself, so all donations will go to the Foundation.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
